Those were the days... Born in the shadows of Metropolitan Stadium in Bloomington, MN, Kent Hrbek is a true-blue Minnesotan in every sense of the word. Baseball was a love, but the Outdoors is, and will always be a passion. "I remember as a 10 year-old going up north to my Grandma and Grandpa's, catching creek chubs and spending the whole day fishing with Grandpa." says Hrbie with a quick smile. Even during his 13 years of Major League Baseball, Hrbie was never afraid to secretly plan fishing & hunting excursions in between hitting homers and scooping up groundballs, only confessing to these "field trips" after many of his major league games.
